Klezmeruk

Ros and Michael are the core members of Klezmeruk, which is the main Klezmer and East European Folk music and dance band based in the North West of England.

Klezmeruk's style is based firmly in the Klezmer traditions of the early 20th Century, yet also incorporating the more modern North American dance styles within the genre.

As well as clarinet and violin, the line-up can include accordion, bass and guitar.

For even greater rhythmic drive a percussionist can be added. This 'larger and louder' group can entertain the biggest events.

This group has a wide repertoire, suitable for any occasion; from ceremonial and processional music, through elegant Hora dances, to decidedly up-beat Sher/Bulgar dance tunes - whatever may be required.
